A lecture by Professor Bernard Aikema
Professor Bernard Aikema (Professor Emeritus, Università di Verona) delivered a lecture The “Dalpontiana Methodus”. A Neglected Pictorial Mode in Early Modern Europe in the Institute of Art History of the Jagiellonian University. This event was co-organised by the IRSA Foundation.

A lecture on Hieronymus Bosch
A lecture by Professor Barnard Aikema (Professor Emeritus, Università di Verona) Jheronimus Bosch and the Renaissance in Europe, co-organised by the IRSA Foundation, took place at the Institute of Art History, Jagiellonian University.

Research on the Portrait of Clement X Altieri by Gianlorenzo Bernini
IRSA was invited to the technological research carried out on the “Portrait of Clement X Altieri”, a medal by Gianlorenzo Bernini, in Berlin. The interdisciplinary research was carried out as part of the work of an international team of specialists from the Getty Center in Los Angeles, the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History in Rome and the University of Toronto.

A lecture by Józef Grabski in Warsaw
Professor Józef Grabski gave a lecture at a scholarly symposium on the Portrait of a Young Man by Titian, held at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

Discussion on the publications on Jerzy Tchórzewski
A discussion “Wokół katalogu raisonné Jerzego Tchórzewskiego. Proces powstania, dylematy. Różnice w publikacji online i wersji książkowej” (Around the catalogue raisonné of the works by Jerzy Tchórzewski. The making process, dilemmas. Differences between the on-line version and the book) took place in the seat of the Common Arts Foundation. IRSA Foundation was represented by Krystyna Czerni, PhD, the editor of the book.

The Marian Sokołowski Prize
The Marian Sokołowski Prize for the best MA thesis in art history written at the Institute of Art History of the Jagiellonian University in the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic years was handed out to the prizewinners in the Museum of Photography. Professor Józef Grabski, the Chair of the IRSA Foundation, is one of the members of the award jury.
This year’s prize was awarded to Kinga Burek-Domżalska, MA, for her thesis “Turning fiction into fiction and reality into fiction. Surreal contexts of Andrzej Pawłowski’s art in the optics of short stories by Bruno Schulz”, written under the supervision of Professor Wojciech Bałus.
Distinctions went to Andriy Yegorovow, MA, for the thesis “Light and plastic. Light installations by Leon Tarasewicz 2017–2020”, written under the supervision of Professor Wojciech Bałus, and to Klaudia Śnieżek, MA, for the thesis “The Romanesque Architecture of the Canons Regular Abbey in Czerwińsk” written under the supervision of Professor Teresa Rodzińska-Chorąży.

Publishing of a book by Professor Jan K. Ostrowski
A book “Portraiture in Old Poland” by Professor Jan K. Ostrowski was published in collaboration of the IRSA Foundation, Wawel Royal Castle – State Art Collection and Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów.
The English translation was made possible thanks to a grant from the Lanckoroński Foundation.
